Weekly Update - September 6, 2017
National Grid and its contractors are at the former Dangman Park MGP site conducting the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)-approved Excavation Interim Remedial Measure (IRM).
On-going activities:
- Mobilization of equipment and supplies
- Installation of interior fence lines
- Begin demolition of concrete slab and asphalt
Recently completed activities:
- Utility Survey
- Removal of imported soil from excavation locations
- Installation of construction entrance
- Installation of wheel wash station (decontamination pad)
- Installation of south perimeter fence
- Completed erosion control installation
Upcoming activities:
- Continued mobilization of equipment and supplies
- Demolition of concrete slab
- Installation of fabric on interior fences
- Trenching along sheet pile installation locations
- Installation of sheet piles in Area 1
Community Air Monitoring Plan Summary
The Community Air Monitoring Program background (baseline) monitoring will begin this week.

Website Update Information
National Grid will provide an activity update for neighbors of the former Dangman Park MGP site with developments related to the investigation and remediation of the Site. During the remedial construction phase, National Grid provides a weekly update on activities related to the remediation of the Site. The updates describe the work being done on and near the Site, and provide an outlook and schedule for upcoming work, including information about work that may impact normal community activities.
