Update - Week of May 31, 2016

National Grid's contractor will be mobilizing to the former Dangman Park MGP site (site) on June 6, 2016.  National Grid's contractor will be abandoning the monitoring wells present at the site.  A cement-bentonite grout will be placed in the monitoring wells.  The work is anticipated to take 10 days, and work will be conducted during business hours on Monday through Friday.  The Monitoring Well Decommissioning is described in the April 28, 2016 letter under Key Documents.

The Community Air Monitoring Program (CAMP) will be conducted during this work.  The CAMP monitors for particulate matter and volatile organic compounds.  Work is temporarily stopped if any of the identified limits are exceeded and the work procedures are modified prior to re-starting the work.

National Grid is continuing to work with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) regarding evaluation of all the Supplemental Remedial Investigation (SRI) test results. The results of all the SRI testing will be described in a report that is being reviewed by the NYSDEC, and, when available, the report will be posted to this website. National Grid is also working with the NYSDEC on the proposed Interim Remedial Measure (IRM).  When available, the IRM Design Work Plan will be posted to this website. National Grid and the NYSDEC will schedule a Public Meeting to discuss the remedial design (IRM), and notifications will be made via this website and via mailings.
